Singapore Prime Minister believes that China and the US should declare a truce for the duration of the pandemic

Li Xiang Lung also believes that China’s leadership, after analyzing the virus outbreak response process, “will understand that they should have acted more effectively somewhere”.

Singaporean Prime Minister Li Hsien Loong called on China and the United States to drop the mutual accusations about the Coronavirus pandemic and to join forces with other nations to address the problems.

“Even in the most favorable international atmosphere it is very difficult to solve the current problem,” said Lee Xiang Moon in an interview with CNN on Sunday in the United States. “If China and the U.S. continue the mutual insults and accusations about the emergence of COVID-19 and its spread, all of this is unlikely to help with the pandemic in the near future”, –  he added.

The Prime Minister stressed that all countries “need to unite in the fight against coronavirus, and Washington and Beijing should join in this.

In his view, the Chinese leadership, having analyzed the process of response to an outbreak of the virus, “will understand that somewhere they should have acted more effectively. “However, I am not sure that if Beijing had done everything right, the pandemic would not have happened,” he added. At the same time, the prime minister expressed regret that the United States “does not use all its resources, influence, scientific potential to fight against the coronavirus.

An outbreak of the disease caused by the new coronavirus was recorded in late 2019 in Central China, later spread to most countries and was recognized by the World Health Organization as a pandemic. According to the latest data, more than 630 thousand people were infected in the world and almost 30 thousand deaths were recorded.
