Federation Council says new missile launches by Pyongyang are provoked by the US

The DPRK’s missile launches do not have “anything good,” but they are nevertheless provoked by the United States, Oleg Morozov, member of the Federation Council’s Foreign Affairs Committee, told the reporters.

Earlier Sunday, the Ronhap Agency, citing the military of South Korea, reported that the DPRK launched two missiles in the direction of the Sea of Japan.

“There is nothing good in these launches, we are against the DPRK’s nuclear program. But we understand that Koreans behave this way precisely because the world community, primarily the United States, does not want real negotiations with Pyongyang and dictates unilateral conditions to North Korea,” – said Morozov.

According to him, in this situation, an international format is needed with real security guarantees for Pyongyang so that Koreans abandon the nuclear program.

“The United States, which really does not want to make any concessions, has the keys to this issue”, – the senator said.
