The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned U.S. allegations against Maduro, calling them preparation for aggression

The Foreign Ministry spokesman specified that nothing in international law allowed Washington to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.

Tehran condemned the U.S. charges against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi made the corresponding statement on Friday.

“Mousavi condemned the baseless accusations of the U.S. against the Venezuelan President”, – the ministry press service said. According to the Foreign Ministry spokesman, “no provision of international law allows Washington to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries and prepare a coup or aggression against a sovereign state.

On Thursday, the United States set a reward of $15 million for information that will lead to the “arrest and/or conviction” of Maduro, as well as $10 million for information about other representatives of the Bolivarian authorities. The United States authorities have also charged Maduro and several other authorities with involvement in drug terrorism.

In response, the Venezuelan President called unsubstantiated the accusations of drug terrorism by the United States.
