According to the Venezuelan President, with the help of accusations against him, the U.S. is trying to distract attention from the health crisis that it has faced due to the spread of coronavirus.
On Thursday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called unsubstantiated accusations of drug terrorism by the United States.
“Venezuela has a record in the fight against drug trafficking over the past 15 years. The drug state has been formed in Colombia”, – he said at a meeting with members of the Cabinet, which was broadcast on Twitter by the President.
According to Maduro, with the help of accusations against him, Washington is trying to distract attention from the health crisis that the U.S. has faced due to the spread of the new coronavirus.
Previously, the United States has appointed a reward of $15 million for information that will lead to “arrest and/or conviction” of Maduro, as well as $10 million for information about other representatives of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela authorities. The U.S. authorities have also charged Maduro with involvement in drug terrorism, as well as a number of other representatives of the country’s authorities.
