A Kiev court arrested for two months the former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Leonid Kozhara, on suspicion of the murder of Sergei Staritsky, ex-director of Inter TV channel. This became known today, March 27, following a court hearing.
The accused may be released from the pre-trial detention center on bail of 14 million hryvnias (500 thousand dollars).
“The prosecutor’s request to satisfy and apply a preventive measure to the suspected Kozhar in the form of detention until May 25, 2020 inclusive,” the judge noted.
According to investigators, Kozhara shot the ex-director of the Inter TV channel on the night of February 22, 2020 in his own house from premium weapons.
