Mr. Johnson was positive for the coronavirus, Downing Street reports. His symptoms are weak and he will continue to lead the government’s response to the virus as long as he isolates himself, the spokesman said.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he will continue to lead the country from home after testing positive on Covid-19.
“I have developed mild symptoms of coronavirus, a fever and constant cough”, – said Mr. Johnson in a video posted on his Twitter account.
“On the advice of the head doctor, I took the test, and it was positive.”
“I work at home and I isolate myself. That’s absolutely right.”
“I can continue, through the magic of technology, to communicate with my best team and fight the virus nationally.”
Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.
I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.
