The U.S. president believes that China should have told him about the coronavirus in advance.
U.S. President Donald Trump said that he once again discussed the topic of coronavirus with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He said this at a briefing in the White House on Sunday.
“I spoke [by phone with President Xi Jinping] about the Coronavirus, but I will not say when. He does not want it [to spread the virus], but it happened to China”, – said the head of the American administration. – Xi Jinping told me, and the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture told me about it, China is buying a lot of our agricultural products, despite all this”.
“But to be honest, I’m a little upset with China. How much I like Xi Jinping, their country <…>, but they should have told us [in advance about the coronavirus]”, – Trump said.
More than 33,000 cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in the United States, according to Johns Hopkins University, which is counting based on federal and local data. 417 people have died”, – Trump said.
