The Italians are ready to abandon the illusions of “European solidarity” for the sake of Russia.
The corresponding statement was made by the associate of the former Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi and former MP Antonio Razzi, commenting on the situation with the supply of humanitarian aid from Russia in connection with the pandemic of the coronavirus infection COVID-19 for the publication “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
As News Front previously reported, Italy managed to become a world leader in the number of deaths due to coronavirus.
According to the Italian Civil Protection Service, as of March 22, about 60 thousand people were affected by coronavirus in the republic. Almost 5.5 thousand people died. Moreover, in just one day, 651 deaths were recorded. Nevertheless, the republic did not wait for support from the partners in the European Union. Against this background, the Russian Ministry of Defense sent humanitarian aid, medical equipment, and even doctors to Italy.
“The Italians are very close to Russia,” said Razzi. “We really appreciate your help.” Both the European Union and NATO have constantly been jealous of our potential and determination. I am sure that anti-Russian sanctions should be lifted. Otherwise, we will leave the EU. ”
It is worth noting that Russia began to supply countries of the world with rapid tests that can detect coronavirus in humans. Now Russian systems are actively used in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
