Trump wrote a letter to Kim Jong-un

The American leader noted the efforts of the head of the DPRK to protect the population from COVID-19 and offered the US assistance.

The US President Donald Trump sent a letter to DPRK leader Kim Jong-un, in which he offered help in the fight against coronavirus. 
 
It is emphasized that in a personal letter the American leader explained his plan for the development of relations between North Korea and the United States and expressed his intention to cooperate in the fight against the epidemic.

“He is impressed with the measures that Kim Jong-un is taking to protect the country’s population from the new coronavirus”, – the report said.

In the republic, at the moment, not a single case of infection has been recorded, however, for the adoption of preventive measures, the World Health Organization, the Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders have received permission from the UN to supply medical goods and equipment to the DPRK.

Since the beginning of February, the DPRK authorities canceled regular international flights and the sending of passenger trains to China and Russia. Foreign embassies were advised not to leave the territory of the missions and the diplomatic quarter of Pyongyang.

The entry of foreigners into the territory of North Korea and their departure from the country were completely stopped.

At the same time, the DPRK Foreign Ministry notified foreign embassies of the extension of quarantine measures after March 1 for an indefinite period.
