Bolivia postpones presidential election indefinitely

Bolivia postpones the presidential election indefinitely due to the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19.

“The Supreme Electoral Court decided as an exceptional measure to suspend preparations for the elections for 14 days, starting from zero on Sunday, March 22”, – RIA Novosti quoted the Bolivian High Electoral Court as reporting.

The election was due on May 3. Currently, 19 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Bolivia.

The first cases of the disease in the country were reported on March 11.
