U.S. plans to hold G7 leaders’ videoconferences in April and May

The U.S., following the cancellation of the June meeting of the Group of Seven (G7) Heads of State, plans to hold talks by videoconference in April and May.

“The U.S. said that the G7 summit scheduled for mid-June will not take place physically, but should be held as a videoconference.

In addition, the U.S. said it wants to organize additional videoconferences with G7 heads of state and government before the summit in June, namely in April and May.

“It’s always up to the presiding party to decide how they will be held. In view of the huge, global impact of the pandemic, the Chancellor welcomes this”, –  said the official representative of the German Cabinet of Ministers, Steffen Seibert.
