They tried to destabilize the situation in Moldova through fifty sites that disseminated knowingly false information about the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19.
This was reported in the Information and Security Service of Moldova.
According to the agency, taking into account the state of emergency, the specialists decided to limit access to 52 sites that panicked the country.
“Anonymous administrators of these sites with fake news are interested in developing subversive activities in the information space that could in the crisis period affect the information security of the Republic of Moldova through social hatred, mass destruction and undermining the security of the Republic of Moldova,” the NIB said.
It is noteworthy that all the resources that disseminated fake information were Romanian-speaking.
