Two explosions thundered in the Syrian province of Idlib on the M-4 highway.
According to reports, explosive devices detonated in the vicinity of the village of Makhambel, when a convoy of the Turkish Armed Forces drove past. After that, a fierce confrontation began at the scene.
Additional forces of the Turkish army began to be pulled into the Makhambel region. In addition, it became known that a Turkish drone entered the airspace of Syria.
At the same time, the activity of jihadists was recorded in the region. Units of the terrorist group “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” began to be transferred to Makhambel.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack on the Turkish military, however, in Turkey, it is believed that the attack was carried out by militants of the Khurras ad-Din group. Islamists themselves deny their involvement in the incident.
