“The trip to Israel was successful”: Moldovan deputies generously pay for the collapse of the coalition

A quarter of a million euros plus monthly “bonuses” – such a price was set by a fugitive Moldovan oligarch for a new political crisis in the country.

“The trip to Israel was successful”: Moldovan deputies generously pay for the collapse of the coalition

This was told by the deputy chairman of the Democratic Party of Moldova, Evgeni Nikiforchuk, on the air of the N4 television channel.

As News Front reported earlier, PDM concluded an agreement with the Moldovan socialists on the creation of a parliamentary coalition. Thus, a majority was formed in the country’s legislative body, which has not been there since the scandal with a vote of no confidence in the pro-Western government of Maya Sandu.

However, even before the signing of the agreement between PSRM and PDM, some of the Democrats left the party, creating their own formation under the name “Pro Moldova”. Among the “deserters” were Sergey Syrbu, Vladimir Chebotar, Eleanor Graur, Grigore Repeshchuk, Corneliu Padnevich and George Brasov. At the head was the ex-speaker of the parliament, Andrian Candu.

Nikiforchuk, in turn, announced that each of those who joined Pro Moldova was paid. Referring to the defectors themselves, he noted that we are talking about amounts ranging from 150 to 250 thousand euros. In addition, up to 5 thousand euros are credited to them every month.

“Pro Moldova offers “salary” to members of the Democratic Party who are ready to leave it,” said the deputy. “That’s what people who left us say.”

He also pointed out that the financing of this campaign is provided by the corrupt official Ilan Shor, who escaped from Moldova, who, along with oligarch Vladimir Plahotniuc, was involved in the theft of a billion. The purpose of these actions is to form another majority in parliament, paralyzing the work of the legislature.

“I believe the trip to Israel was successful. In the morning, before we signed the agreement with the socialists, we sent messages to our deputies, saying that they should not become traitors, they should form a coalition with the right-wing parties of Kandu and Shor. ”
