The U.S. has ignored the social crisis for too long – American homeless people are retaliating

The methods of combating the epidemic in the U.S. even now are designed only for those who at least have a home.

This was told by journalist Jason Rents in a comment on Fox News.

He pointed to a very interesting observation: the epicenters of the coronavirus epidemic in the U.S. have become Washington, California and New York – the states with the largest number of homeless people.

“All the recommendations on how to stop the spread of coronavirus now sound, for example, applicable to me, because I have my own home, there is a possibility to use disinfectants. Homeless people don’t have that”, –  explains Rents.

In that regard, he spoke about an incident that took place in a suburb of Seattle. There, one of the motels was identified as an isolation center for the homeless. In particular, one of the “residents” was suspected of illness, but the results have not yet been received.

“And this morning, he got out of the isolation center, went to the other side of the street, entered the Seven Eleven store, according to preliminary data, robbed him, then took a bus and ran away”, –  continues the journalist.

He pointed out that with the epidemic, homelessness is no longer just a problem but a threat to the United States.

“Only now we do not have any serious plan to resolve the problem that could be presented to people”, –  said Rents.

According to official data, there are about 3 million homeless people living in the United States now. They found themselves in this situation because of high housing costs. And cheap housing does not allow to build a bureaucracy.
