Venezuela: Maduro calls on the opposition to end the politicization of Coronavirus

The head of Venezuela asked the opposition not to politicize the situation around the new coronirus. Maduro noted that the opposition should not support this in social networks if the virus reaches Venezuela.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro urged the opposition to stop politicizing the situation around the outbreak of the new coronavirus. During a speech in Caracas, which was broadcast on national television, he said:

“Don’t be so disgusting. Do not politicize a problem that is so sensitive to all humanity”.

Maduro added that the opposition representatives in social networks will talk about the emergence of coronavirus in Venezuela.

Chinese authorities have registered the first outbreak of the new coronirus SARS-CoV-2 in Wuhan city. Cases were confirmed in more than 100 other countries, including Germany.
