This is how publicist Ellen Taylor commented for the American edition “CounterPunch” on NATO exercises in Europe.
As News Front previously reported, the notorious maneuvers of the “Defender Europe 2020” alliance have become known for their scale and apparent anti-Russian orientation.
The task of the exercises is to work out the only operation – to counter the enemy in the European theater of war with causing enough damage to force the opponent to surrender. Although the organizers do not specify who exactly is meant by the enemy, it is clear that in Europe it can only be Russia.
Armies from nineteen countries take part in the exercises. The number of military personnel involved is about 37 thousand fighters, with 20 thousand – are soldiers of the U.S. Armed Forces, thrown here across the Atlantic Ocean.
“Right now, thousands of U.S. soldiers are disembarking from transportation in six European countries and rushing to munitions already prepared for them throughout Europe to deploy weapons as soon as possible”, – says Taylor, noting that in countries bordering Russia, a massive build-up of U.S. armed forces has already begun.
At the same time, she drew attention to the fact that maneuvers will reach their climax just in time for the anniversary of the beginning of “Operation Barbarossa”, during which Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union in 1941. It is noteworthy that even now we are talking about working out a plan of war with Russia.
“It’s the devil’s most shocking thing”, – admits Taylor. – “That’s when 27 million people died. The Russians, who were born in 1930, are now 90 years old. They remember. The heart and soul of Russia also remember”.
The publicist points out that the Russian military command has already reacted to North Atlantic Alliance manoeuvres, treating them as an open preparation for war.
“All mankind has frozen in powerless ignorance. And the doomsday clock counts down another 20 seconds until midnight”, – she concluded.
