Ukrainian law enforcers violated the ceasefire four times a day, firing on the territory of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic, the representative office of the LPR in the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCC) told.
According to the representative office of the LPR in the Joint Ceasefire Monitoring and Coordination Center, on March 9, Ukrainian law enforcers violated the silence regime twice.
“On March 10, four shootings were recorded by Ukrainian armed groups”, – the LPR representative office said.
It is specified that the Ukrainian law enforcers fired 120 and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms at the settlements of Logvinovo and Zolotoe- 5 controlled by the Republic.
In April 2014, the Ukrainian authorities launched a military operation against the self-declared LPR and DPR, which declared independence after the state revolution in Ukraine in February 2014. According to the latest UN data, about 13,000 people fell victim to the conflict.
The issue of resolving the situation in Donbass is being discussed, including during meetings of the contact group in Minsk, which has already adopted three documents regulating steps to de-escalate the conflict since September 2014. However, even after the ceasefire agreements between the parties to the conflict, shootings continue.
