More than 600 thousand people took to the streets of Caracas to advocate peace, said Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

“Today, more than 600 thousand people of Caracas took to the streets to say “we want peace, no more criminal sanctions, no more sabotage and terrorism”, –  he said and thanked the citizens for their support. The president’s speech was broadcast on Twitter.

On the eve, Maduro announced the launch of new military exercises in the country, which are also held in the name of peace in the country.
At the same time, on Tuesday, the opposition also took people to the streets.
