A Palestinian teenager died and 112 more Palestinians were injured in clashes with Israeli security forces in the West Bank, Red Crescent spokesman Erab al-Fukah told.
“A 17-year-old Palestinian was killed and 112 other Palestinians were injured in clashes with Israeli forces in the Al-Arma area near the city of Nablus (Shem)”, – al-Fukah told.
“We provided first aid to victims of combat and rubber bullets and tear gas. Some of the wounded were taken to district hospitals”, – she added.
The Israeli army said the death of a teenager during the suppression of serious riots in the Nablus area would be investigated.
“Earlier today, there were serious disturbances south of Nablus, involving approximately 500 Palestinians. Insurgents threw stones at IDF soldiers and set fire to tyres. We are aware of reports of a dead Palestinian and several injured. The incident will be investigated”, – the army press office said.
Protests in the West Bank have not ceased since late January, after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a plan for a Palestinian-Israeli peace settlement “deal of the century” in Washington.
