Turkey, after the situation in Idlib, Syria escalated, said it could no longer hold back the flow of migrants and refugees and opened its borders with the EU. Mainly, the migration crisis threatens Turkey’s Greek and Bulgarian neighbours.

“We have been feeding and drinking refugees for nine years. Now they want to go to Europe. I always said: if you do not share the cargo with us, we will open the doors. They thought I was joking. But I opened the doors. Now our guests are leaving, we don’t have to hold them back. About 150 thousand people went to Greece, from where they are now trying to send them back, using force”, –  said Erdogan, speaking to the parliamentary faction of the ruling Justice and Development Party.

According to him, refugees are not going to stay in Greece.

“Open the doors for them, let them pass through your territory to richer countries. But nobody says anything to Greece, which commits a crime against humanity by attacking refugees. It is barbaric to shoot at people who want to save their lives and build a future for their children”, –  added the Turkish leader.
