More than 980 refugees returned to Syria from Jordan and Lebanon in the past 24 hours, according to a newsletter of the reception, distribution and accommodation centre published on Monday on the website of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
“In the past 24 hours, 982 refugees have returned to Syria from foreign territories, including 156 from Lebanon through Jeidet Yabus and Tell Kalah checkpoints…. from Jordan through the Nasib checkpoint – 826 people”, – it said.
It is added that 1909 refugees returned to their places of permanent residence inside the country within 24 hours.
In addition, seven houses, a bakery and 450 meters of water supply were restored within a day.
According to the centre, engineering units of the Syrian Armed Forces cleared 2.7 hectares of land within 24 hours. Also specialists have destroyed 31 explosive objects.
