Iraqi security forces have eliminated 25 terrorists in the north of the country

Iraqi security forces have killed 25 militants in the Mahmoor District of Neinawa Province in the north, the Iraqi security press office said.

“The Counter Terrorism Directorate, in coordination with the international coalition’s air force, by landing south of Mahmoor… eliminated 25 terrorists and destroyed nine tunnels and a training base”, –  according to a Facebook statement.

In December 2017, Iraqi leaders announced the full liberation of ISIS from terrorists after three and a half years of war with a group that had seized about one-third of the country. Separate groups of terrorists continue to attempt sabotage and attack in the liberated areas of the country. Iraqi security forces claim to have stopped most militant activities.
