The start of the trial on March 9 in The Hague in the case of the crash of a Boeing in the Donbass in July 2014 (flight MH17) is an important step for establishing facts and justice, a spokesman for the French Foreign Ministry said.
Earlier, the Hague District Court told RIA Novosti that the trial on this case, scheduled for March 9 in the Netherlands, will take place, despite the spread of coronavirus.
“The opening of the lawsuit on March 9 in The Hague on four suspects in the destruction of flight MH17 on July 17, 2014 is an important step in establishing facts and justice for the families and relatives of the victims”, – said the representative of the French Foreign Ministry at a briefing on Friday.

Malaysian Boeing, flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur by flight MH17, crashed on July 17, 2014 near Donetsk. Onboard were 298 people, all of them died. Kiev accused the militias of the disaster, but they said that they did not have the means to bring down the plane at that height.
