Montenegrin Foreign Minister admits: The government was looking for NATO intervention for lithium in Montenegro?

Montenegrin Foreign Minister Srdjan Darmanovic said today, commenting on the role of NATO and their position on lithium and protests in Montenegro: “They believe that this is an internal issue of Montenegro and that there is no need to take any meaningful measures. Of course, we have good advice that issues need to be resolved through dialogue, and this is a direction that we have chosen ourselves”.

As reported by Serbian News Front, in this statement, Darmanovic clearly acknowledged that the government sought NATO’s participation in Montenegro after the adoption of a discriminatory law and expressing people’s discontent. It should be recalled that the Government has denied this on several occasions.

This step by the Montenegrin Government is further proof that they are not working for their people and that they are a lithium-based way of fighting, to which they have no answer once they are forced to turn to their combat partners for help.
