Iran believes that the U.S. and Israel want to prevent cooperation with the IAEA

Iran’s post representative to international organizations in Vienna Kazem Garib-Abadi said that the U.S. and Israel are trying to put pressure on cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), but the Islamic Republic of Iran intends to prevent dangerous developments.

“The U.S. and Israel are trying to destroy the ties and cooperation between the agency and Iran, putting pressure on the agency to abandon its statutory duties”, –  IRIB TV and Radio Corporation said in its Telegram Channel.

Abadi added that Iran was not obliged to comply with agency requests caused by spy data from other countries, including Israel. He noted that Iran was trying to prevent dangerous developments at the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Earlier, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said that Iran had not provided information requested by the Agency and stressed that the country risked provoking a crisis if it does not cooperate with the organization.
