The Turkish President has warned the European Union about millions of refugees. At the same time, the UN has already recorded the flow of people leaving Idlib.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said that millions of refugees will soon move to the borders of the European Union, it was reported.
“The period of unilateral disinterestedness on our part is over… They call and say: close the borders. I said: it’s late. The West must share the burden of responsibility for refugees. Today we will meet with the Bulgarian prime minister, tomorrow I will talk to Merkel”, – Erdogan said.
He did not rule out holding summits on Syria with the participation of four or five heads of state.
At the same time, UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi said that the flow of people leaving Idlib has increased over the last days.
“We know that in the province of Idlib in the north of the country (Syria) about 900 thousand people have been displaced in the last few months, say, but in the last few days it has accelerated”, – Grandi said.
As you know, the rebels backed by Turkey repelled Serakib on February 27. They controlled the city for only a few days.
