NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the Council of the organization will hold consultations on the situation in Syria at the level of ambassadors of the member states of the Alliance on February 28.
The meeting will be held at the level of ambassadors of the alliance member states. The NATO Secretary General wrote about it on his Twitter page.
The statement specifies that the meeting will be held in response to Turkey’s request.
“The North Atlantic Council, which includes the ambassadors of all 29 NATO member countries, will meet on Friday, February 28, at Turkey’s request to hold consultations on the situation in Syria in accordance with Article 4 of the Washington Treaty”, – it was reported.
