After the sharp escalation of the Damascus-Ankara confrontation in the Middle East, when 33 Turkish soldiers died after an air strike by Bashar Asmad, Turkish President Recep Erdogan announced that he would no longer hold back the flow of refugees trying to get to Europe. And he kept his word.
RIA Novosti news agency reports that the first such unit has already moved freely to the borders with the European Union.
Turkish TV published a photo of Syrian refugees, who are going to Greece after the decision of Turkish authorities not to interfere with them.
“A group of about 300 people have left Edirne, which is about an hour’s walk from the border, but on the Greek side, the EU borders are well guarded”, – the report says.
