The USA’s global military advantage is undermined, against this background, Russia and China are strengthening their defense capabilities, said General Mark Milli, head of the US Chief of Staff Committee, at a hearing in the House of Representatives.
The Pentagon spokesman emphasized that while the American army is still ready to provide military deterrence and protect the country from a preemptive strike, as well as support the allies in the event of a conflict with their participation.
“However, our competitive advantage has been undermined, and no one should question it. China and Russia are strengthening their military capabilities to surpass the US and its allies and secure their influence around the world”, – said Mark Milli.
