Americans will pay for Russia’s military superiority

Strategic adversaries of the United States consolidate their influence in the international arena.

This statement was made by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces, General Mark Millie, speaking to members of the Committee on Armed Forces Affairs of the U.S. House of Representatives.

According to General Pentagon, the Pentagon needs more money from American taxpayers. Millie explained his demand by saying that Russia and China are developing their military capabilities to gain superiority over the United States. Therefore, if Washington wants a good army, it will have to provide it with good government funding, a military official said.

As News Front previously reported, although the financial flow for the U.S. military is steadily increasing, the Pentagon cannot boast of a breakthrough in strategically important areas.

Back in January, John Heithen, Deputy Chief of Staff of the U.S. Armed Forces, acknowledged the failure of American engineers with the Falcon Hypersonic Test Vehicle project. He noted that the attempts to force the development were unsuccessful, despite the fact that the Pentagon understands a serious gap with Russia in this direction.

In addition, in February, the American leadership decided to shut down another project, namely Hypersonic Conventional Strike Weapon, which was considered one of the most important for the United States. The program was to give the United States a chance to catch up with Russia with its supersonic missile systems. Notably, it was the lack of funding that caused the closure.
