More than 970 refugees returned to Syria from foreign territories in the past 24 hours, according to the newsletter of the Russian center for reconciliation of the warring parties and control of refugee movement.
“In the past 24 hours, 972 refugees returned to the Syrian Arab Republic from foreign territories, including 342 from Lebanon at the Jeidet Yabus and Tell Kalah checkpoints (103 women and 175 children) and 630 from Jordan at the Nasib checkpoint (189 women and 321 children)”, – the bulletin says.
It is added that the engineering units of the Syrian Armed Forces have carried out demining tasks overnight in Duma (Damascus province), Jasim and al-Harra (Deraa province). In one day, specialists cleared 1.9 hectares of land and 27 explosive ordnance items were found and destroyed.
