US showed how it protects against the “Russian threat”: Warsaw provoked Moscow in vain

Warsaw for a long time strengthened the anti-Russian policy, talked about the “Russian threat”, which justified the deployment of the American armed forces on its territory. All this was extremely beneficial to Washington, but it still could not realize its key project in Poland.

We are talking about the construction of a large military base, where it was planned to place the Aegis Ashore missile defense system. This project allowed the United States not only to demonstrate a willingness to defend the “allies.” These systems could well be used not only for intercepting missiles, but also for launching a missile strike. It has long been known that Aegis Ashore systems are capable of launching Tomahawk cruise missiles with nuclear warheads.

This fact provoked serious tension in the region. In fact, Poland provided the United States with a platform for attacking Russia. Only to realize the plan was problematic. Despite the fact that the missile defense system should have been on combat alert back in 2018, the project is still under construction. Moreover, it was actually “frozen” due to problems that the contractor encountered.

“The problems that arose during the construction process slowed down the launch for 2 years, but now we have to postpone it for another couple of years,” said John Hill, the head of the US Missile Defense Agency, in a commentary on Defense News.

As it turned out, the problems are associated with the installation of additional equipment, the launch of the heating system and power supplies. At the end of last year, experts were sent to Poland to resolve the situation, but there are still no results.
