Over 800 refugees from Jordan and Lebanon returned to Syria within 24 hours

More than 800 refugees returned to Syria from foreign territories in the past 24 hours, according to a newsletter of the Russian center for reconciliation of the warring parties and control of refugee movement.

“In the past 24 hours, 805 refugees returned to the Syrian Arab Republic from the territories of foreign countries, including 258 from Lebanon through checkpoints “Jeidet Yabus”, “Tell Kalakh” (78 women, 132 children), 547 from Jordan through the checkpoint “Nasib” (164 women, 279 children)”, –  the report says.

Within 24 hours, 1,475 refugees returned to their places of permanent residence.

In addition, Syrian army engineering units carried out demining tasks overnight in Duma (Damascus province), Jassim and al-Harra (Deraa province). Specialists cleared 2.7 hectares of land and found and destroyed 31 explosive ordnance items.
