The Prime Minister of Belarus Sergey Rumas expects that the interaction of the republic with Russia will continue to develop in the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding, the press service of the Belarusian government said on Thursday.
According to her, Rumas sent a letter of thanks to his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin, in which he expressed gratitude to the Russian Federation for helping to evacuate on February 5 a special flight of the Ministry of Defense of ten Belarusian citizens who decided to leave Hubei, China, in connection with the spread of a new type of coronavirus.
“The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to his Russian counterpart for the placement of citizens of the Republic of Belarus in the treatment and rehabilitation center “Urban planner” of the Tyumen region and the creation of favorable conditions for their stay. Sergei Rumas noted that in the future the fruitful interaction between our countries will develop in the spirit of friendship and cooperation and mutual understanding”, – the statement said on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic.
Rumas also wished Mishustin good health, kindness and prosperity.
Earlier, five citizens of the republic who were evacuated from China to Kazakhstan, as well as 10 Belarusians who were evacuated to Russia, returned to Belarus. All of them were quarantined for two weeks; they did not have a coronavirus infection.
