The Syrian army shot down a drone on Monday near a refinery in Homs province in the west of the country, the SAR State Television reported.
Earlier on Sunday, it was reported that the SAR army shot down five drones that tried to attack the refinery in Homs.
“Units of the Syrian Arab army shot down a drone in the area of the oil refinery in Homs”, – reports TV channel Al-Ikhbariya.
Militants are regularly attacking the refinery in Homs and other energy infrastructure in the province of the same name.
The armed conflict in Syria has continued since 2011. At the end of 2017 it was announced about the victory over the IG terrorist group in Syria and Iraq. Militant clean-up operations continue in parts of the country. The political settlement, reconstruction of Syria, as well as the return of refugees are now in the foreground.
