Eyewitnesses reported that a man fired into the air, but in some cases pointed weapons at people passing by. The police spokesperson said that no one was injured in the incident.

The newspaper posted a photograph of the detainee on its website: it was a man wearing shorts and a T-shirt with glasses attached to his neckline. His face has been sealed off. There are several masked SWAT men in the background.

Police have already identified the shooter, who is Ekkachai Charueksilp, 44. It is reported that after the family quarrel, he left home with a gun.

According to the latest figures, 26 people were killed in the shooting as well as the perpetrator himself and 57 injured.
