Russian delegation will come to Turkey for negotiations on Idlib

On Saturday, a Russian military delegation will visit Turkey to hold talks on the situation in Syria, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told journalists.


Earlier Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said during a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that Russia and Turkey intend to hold a meeting on the situation in Idlib in the near future.
“Our military communicates with Russian colleagues every day. We made an agreement on the visit of the military delegation from Russia, tomorrow it will come here. The talks will be aimed at stopping the aggression of the Syrian regime, preventing a humanitarian disaster and accelerating the political process in Syria. We will discuss issues on Idlib, and if necessary, after that our leaders will meet”, –  Cavusoglu told.
Earlier, Turkish media reported with reference to the Ministry of Defense that five Turkish soldiers and three Syrian military personnel were killed as a result of shelling in Idlib.
Erdogan, for his part, said that Ankara responded by striking at 40 sites in Syria.
Earlier, Sputnik radio reported that Turkey would continue cooperation with Russia on the situation in Idlib.
