The US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accuses Republican Senators of betraying the United States Constitution.
She published the corresponding post on her Twitter page after the US Senate, the majority of which are currently Republicans, acquitted American leader Donald Trump on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
“Due to the Republicans’ betrayal of the Senate of the Constitution, the President continues to threaten the American democracy, insisting that he is above the law and can, if he wants, ruin the election”, – she wrote.
Because of the Republican Senate’s betrayal of the Constitution, the President remains an ongoing threat to American democracy, with his insistence that he is above the law and that he can corrupt the elections if he wants to.
