The U.S. has begun troop movements for the largest exercises in Europe

Five American and two British ships will arrive in Antwerp, bringing 3,000 pieces of military equipment and 6,000 soldiers.

The first ship with a cargo of American military equipment has arrived at the port of the Belgian port of Antwerp, which will be used during the large-scale military exercise of NATO Defender-2020 (Defender-2020). This was reported by Flanders News on the previous day.

The ship delivered 200 pieces of military equipment, including 150 vehicles. The Belgian armed forces are providing organizational assistance in refueling American equipment. The port has allocated up to 125 thousand square meters for the specialized military zone.

It is expected that five American and two British ships will arrive in Antwerp, which will deliver 3000 pieces of military equipment and 6000 soldiers. The final destination for the redeployment of these forces will be Germany and Poland.

The American military will also arrive at other ports in Europe.

Recall that the Defender-2020 exercise will be the largest in Europe in the last 25 years. 37,000 soldiers from 18 NATO countries will take part in it. At least 20,000 of them will be American forces. We’re talking about moving a full-fledged division.
