Terrorists opened fire on industrial plants in the Syrian province of Homs on Tuesday. Syrian Oil and Mineral Resources Minister Ali Ghanim told the SANA agency.

“Terrorist gangs have again attacked the facilities of the Syrian oil and gas complex and caused material damage,” he said. According to the minister, the Ebla gas processing plant, gas stations in Rayyan and the Central Plateau, as well as an oil refinery located in the city of Homs (165 km north of Damascus) were attacked at dawn. The shells fired by the militants exploded on their territory.

“Rescue teams and members of the Civil Defence were able to put out the fires that broke out, , – Ganim said. – “Repair crews who arrived assessed the damage and began reconstruction work. The minister cited no casualties from the shelling”.

Terrorists used drones to strike oil and gas facilities in Homs Province December 21 last year. The result was material damage and no casualties were reported. The consequences of the armed sorties were remedied within a week.
