Brexit news: Protests and celebrations set to mark UK exit, as Boris Johnson eyes ‘Canada-style’ trade deal with EU

Both those who support Britain’s exit from the EU, as well as opponents, are going to mark Brexit Day with a series of protests across the country. With a series of protests against Brexit, they intend to leave in Northern Ireland before the UK’s official exit from the EU at 11 pm.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the day would be a signal of “the dawn of a new era,” but Scotland’s first minister, Nicola Osetrin, will take the “next steps” in her effort to hold another independence referendum.

Such reports appeared after it became known that Mr. Johnson was ready to conclude an agreement with the EU on Canadian-style tariffs, while they say that Australia is seeking to terminate the trade agreement after Brexit by the end of the year.
