The meeting of the contact group on Donbas has started in Minsk. It is planned to discuss new areas of force separation and ensuring a truce in the region, reported the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the self-declared Donetsk People’s Republic.
“The next meeting of the contact group has begun in Minsk. This is the first meeting, which has already been held by the new special representative of the OSCE Chairman in Ukraine and the contact group for the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, Heidi Grau”, – said the press service of the Donetsk Foreign Ministry.
According to the ministry, it is planned to discuss at the meeting the new areas of force separation in Donbass proposed by the parties to the conflict, ensuring a sustainable ceasefire, as well as the issues of searching for the missing and fixing the special status of the region in the Ukrainian constitution.
