Aleppo civilians continue to suffer from gunfire from militants

Shooting of militants continues in Syrian Aleppo. One of the residents of Zahra district died just before his engagement.

According to the head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Enemy in Syria, Major-General Yuri Berenkov, over the past 24 hours in the Idlib zone of de-escalation there have been recorded 91 shelling of armed groups – in particular, the areas of Makanis al-Duwayri and “Watermelon Market” in Aleppo, as well as a number of settlements in the provinces of Aleppo, Latakia, Idlib, Hama.

In Zahra, a district of Aleppo, shells from militants hit a residential home. At the time of the attack, there were people there. The shells came from the direction of La Ramun district, where the militants’ rocket launchers were standing.

Two shells exploded half a minute apart. An entire span of the house collapsed. The rescuers arrived at the site of the tragedy within minutes and initially heard screams for help from under the rubble.

Under the rubble was the head of the family, Walid Nasheed, he was in the room next to where the rocket hit. The neighbors said that they barely helped the old man get out as the beams collapsed. Two men were left under the rubble – the owner’s son and his neighbor’s doctor.

“My son came from work, he prayed and went to bed early, we had to go to get married tomorrow. Where is my boy now, what about him? I don’t know what to do”, – Waleed Nasheed told reporters.
He hoped to the last that his son would call again, and he and his neighbor-doctor would be saved. By evening, both were found with no signs of life.
