The new composition of the Ukrainian government and the European Commission at the sixth meeting of the Ukraine-EU Association Council will discuss the situation in the Donbass, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine said.
According to the press service, the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Goncharuk will be held on January 28 in Brussels.
“This is the first meeting with the new composition of the Ukrainian government and the new composition of the European Commission”, – the statement said. The agenda provides for a discussion of the situation in eastern Ukraine and the implementation of the Minsk agreements, as well as the situation in the Crimea.
It is also reported that at the meeting the parties will analyze the progress in implementing the Association Agreement, the state of bilateral trade, ways to deepen economic and industry cooperation, cooperation in the field of justice, freedom and security.
In addition, during a visit to Brussels, the Prime Minister of Ukraine will hold bilateral meetings with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Council Charles Michel, the head of the EU diplomacy Josep Borrell, the Executive Vice President of the EC Valdis Dombrovskis, and meetings are scheduled with representatives of the Belgian business .
