Protests in Colombia resume and gain momentum

 

Rallies and demonstrations are held against the economic and social policies of President Ivan Duke in major cities in Colombia, El Tiempo reports January 21.

Rallies and demonstrations are held as part of a national strike. They are convened by the Unemployment Committee, which includes working committees, student and community organizations in Colombia.

The police continues to use the 12-gauge shotgun and makes direct shots at protesters. Protesters are attacked in the center of Bogotá.
