Central Europe set to wrestle Germany for migrants

Germany is going to infuriate Central Europe again, opening its gates to migrants.

The last time Berlin did this – at the height of the European crisis of refugees and migrants in 2015 – it was destroyed by the populist governments of the Visegrad Four countries (V4).

The Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia still refuse to accept even a part of the million refugees who arrived in the EU from the Middle East and Africa, despite the EU’s plan to distribute the load among all member states.

This time, however, they worry that millions of migrants that they really want will flood into Germany.
