Neo-Nazis take part in the mourning procession in Magdeburg

Hundreds of ultra-right activists took part in the mourning procession in Magdeburg.

Activists honored the memory of those killed during the bombing of Magdeburg by the US Air Force on January 16, 1945 during World War II.

Neo-Nazis walked in black clothes, carrying torches, black flags and banners with the image of the bombed Magdeburg.

There were some excesses. The demonstration clashed with left-wing activists from the Regina Alliance (“Equal Europeans Against Intolerance and Nationalism”) who came up with anti-fascist banners. Police parted activists using pepper spray.
