This is stated in the message of the office of the head of the Government, circulated on Friday, January 17.

Britain will leave the EU at 23:00 on January 31 (01:00 Kyiv time on February 1).

“On January 31, a special cabinet meeting will be held outside London. Ministers will meet in northern England. They will discuss the Prime Minister’s agenda and how the government plans to ensure prosperity and opportunity throughout the great alliance of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. In the evening, it is expected that the Prime Minister will address the nation with a special appeal”, – the press service of Boris Johnson said.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister, the building on 10 Downing Street will be decorated with illumination. In particular, a clock will be projected onto its black wall, counting the minutes until the kingdom leaves the European Union. The buildings on Whitehall will also be highlighted.

Parliament Square will be decorated with British flags. In addition, on the day of Brexit, a commemorative 50-pence coin will be put into circulation, on which Peace, prosperity and friendship with all peoples will be written.

Big Ben, contrary to expectations, will not mark the hour of Brexit. Running a watch that is being repaired will cost too much.
