New limits of American Russophobia: drug dealers in the USA will be punished except that for negotiations with the Russian Federation

A quarter of a century has passed since the American administration personally legitimized the opioid crisis in the country. This entailed the number of deaths that exceeded the number of Americans who died in the First and Second World War, Korean and Vietnam Wars combined. However, this does not cause Washington as much indignation as negotiations with Russia.

This was told by the famous American columnist Tucker Carlson on the Fox News television channel.

“Believe it or not, but about 25 years have passed since the Department of Sanitary Control of Food and Drug Quality sent oxycodone to Purdue Pharma to the masses. It’s amazing how imperceptibly the turning points of history can occur, but from that moment the opioid wave swept America”, – the journalist noted.

Referring to official data from the Drug Enforcement Administration, he noted that only between 2006 and 2014, 100 billion doses of this semi-synthetic opioid were delivered. Carlson emphasized that it was about 35 doses of the drug for every living American. He also drew attention to the fact that from 1999 to 2018, about 770 thousand Americans died from an overdose.

“This is more than during the years of the civil war, which cost the States the most, or in all other wars where America participated: World War I, World War II, Korean, Vietnamese and others combined”, – he continues.

Based on the facts, the opioid crisis is the largest disaster that the US has ever experienced, Carlson says, noting that no one has been punished for this, including the Sackler family that own Purdue Pharma and make money on their opioids -13 billion dollars.

“Probably, you could pay attention to the pattern: in our country no one is ever responsible for real crimes that entail people’s suffering. Iraqi intervention, a catastrophe with a mortgage crisis, plundering the country by the Chinese government. At Washington’s level, all this is petty misconduct. They are easy to forgive the people who know who to give the bribe to. No other way. But if the Sackler family came up with something about meaningless emails or talked to the Russian ambassador over the phone, then Washington’s indifference would end”, – Tucker Carlson concluded.
